Update on our journalists

As we have just been informed, both of our journalists are free and trying to find a safe route back to Tbilisi, Georgia.

Winston Featherly has a serious lower leg injury and he is not able to walk. He needs special transportation.

We are actively seeking the safest and shortest route for their return.

Please stay tuned.

UPD: As we see, there is no safe exit from the locations our people are right now. They will stay where they are for today and further developments will show how things will progress.

Winston has just had another surgery. We are uncertain of the condition of his leg. Presently no flights in or out of Vladikavtaz, and can not go via Chechnya. He needs to be transfered to hospital with specialists familiar with this kind of leg injury.

He continues to be very concerned about Temuri. He is otherwise calm, handling his situation.

Thank you for your kind thoughts.

ps Just this moment received call from US Ambassador in Moscow. The Russian gov't has arranged an emergency military medevac of many of the seriously injured. Winston will be among them. We don't know to which public hospital in Moscow they will be taken. We will be anxiously awaiting this information.

Hello, I'm trying to get in touch with Zaza Gachechiladze or anyone who knew/worked with Giga Chikhladze and/or Alexandr Klimchuk. The Messenger's website doesn't seem to be working. Please, can anyone help? Thank you!
